A Practical Guide to Exploring Chart-Native Perpetual Trading on Trending

Open Trending →

Perpetual trading can be difficult to approach when the chart, order form, risk settings, and position management are spread across different panels. Trending is designed around a simpler question: can the chart be the place where you understand and manage the trade?

Trending is a chart-native interface that connects to Hyperliquid. It is non-custodial: users review and approve their own wallet actions. Perpetual contracts are high risk, and this guide is educational rather than a recommendation to trade.

Start by exploring the market

Open Trending to view the live market interface. Before connecting a wallet or moving funds, take time to inspect the selected asset, price action, and the controls available on the chart.

Suggested visual: a current homepage screenshot or a short, unedited clip of the live chart. Do not add a balance, PnL, or performance claim.

Use the chart to understand the trade

The core workflow is visual:

  1. Select the market you want to inspect.
  2. Choose the direction and size only after reviewing the order details.
  3. Open the position through the chart-native interaction.
  4. Keep the position, entry level, and protection controls visible on the chart.

Whether a long or short position is appropriate depends on the user’s own assessment. The interface does not make a trade profitable, and a position can lose value quickly.

Set take profit and stop loss deliberately

Take-profit and stop-loss controls are risk-management instructions, not guarantees of an execution price. Markets can move quickly, and actual execution may differ from an intended level.

When setting protection:

  1. Check that the position and direction are correct.
  2. Choose levels that fit your own risk limit rather than an arbitrary target.
  3. Confirm the displayed order details.
  4. Re-check the protection status after submission; keep a manual close path available.

Suggested visual: a real recording of the TP/SL interaction in the current product or a test environment. The recording should clearly indicate that it is a demonstration when no real order is placed.

Connect, authorize, and fund only when ready

If you decide to trade, the normal progression is to connect or create a wallet session, review any authorization request, and fund the account with supported USDC methods. Read every wallet prompt and transaction detail before approving it.

Trending does not custody user funds. Never share a seed phrase or private key with support or anyone else. Start with an amount you can afford to lose, and verify the destination network and address before transferring funds.

Review the result and keep records

After a position is open, monitor it from the chart and use the available close and protection controls. For completed activity, retain your own wallet and transaction records. If something does not look right, stop and contact support before making further transfers.

Learn the workflow before taking risk

The most useful first goal is not a particular return. It is understanding the complete workflow: market selection, order review, position visibility, TP/SL, and closing a position.
